About the event
The TIPS Network is excited to announce a Fireside Chat with Washington-based author, lecturer and anti-corruption activist Frank Vogl. Frank brings more than five decades of experience in the international economics, finance and anti-corruption space to bear in his recently published book The Enablers: How the West Supports Kleptocrats and Corruption — Endangering Our Democracy. He will reflect on the threats posed by the vast flows of illicit loot via the ‘enablers’ into Western capital markets, and the large flows of licit funds from Western markets into the coffers of authoritarian / kleptocratic regimes.
This event provides a wonderful opportunity for the TIPS community to gain insights from a leading anti-corruption expert.
About the Speaker Frank, co-founder and former Vice Chairman of Transparency International, and Chairman of the Partnership for Transparency Fund, teaches a graduate course at Georgetown University on “Corruption, Conflict Resolution and Security.” A former foreign economics correspondent for The Times, and former public affairs director at the World Bank, Frank’s communications company consulted to the leaders of the Institute of International Finance and the Group of 30 for more than two decades.
